Agenda 21 Update: Family Farms Are Under Attack
In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America – costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs).

So you say you want a revolution?
Today, anyone who suggests our government is out of control is labeled a right-wing extremist or even a domestic terrorist. Yet all the constitutionalists and tea partiers want to do is return our nation to the governmental restraints outlined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We do not want a theocracy. We do not want an oligarchy. Is this too much to ask?

State of Arizona breaks silence on madness in 'Nazi'-cop town
Normally, we do not release the results of an investigation until it has been completed. However, because this is a matter of unusual public interest, we are prepared to say that, based on review of a video of a July 10 meeting, there is reasonable cause to believe that there has been a violation of the Open Meeting Law, inasmuch as the public was excluded.

Outlines of Debt Compromise Emerge
In many respects, the deal will, if approved by all parties, resemble the contours of a short-lived pact negotiated last weekend by House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. Obama rejected that deal, forcing Congress to wrestle with other inferior legislative options throughout the week.

REID FILIBUSTERS OWN BILL!
"We would be happy to have that vote tonight," Sen. Mitch McConnell, Republicans' leader, offered. But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid objected, even though the vote would occur on his own bill. He instead said the chamber would have to run out the full procedural clock, which means a vote in the early hours Sunday morning.

Washington Is Annoyed at Wall Street's Failure to Panic
"We were following the script from 2008. When the market collapsed after TARP failed, that spooked everyone enough to get them to fall in line. We thought the same thing would happen this week," he said. Instead, the market has just been on a quiet, non-panicked slide.

4.9% unemployment in Mexico vs. 9.4% in US...

In fact, congressional compensation including benefits totals around $285,000 per year.

Democrat 'Budget Plan': Attack the Tea Party and Misquote Reagan
The same we-won-the-election-and-elections-have-consequences lefties now cry out for "bipartisanship." Those who cheered the bulldog way that ObamaCare became law now want the resurgent Republicans to "reach across the aisle," "set aside partisan rancor" and "put the country first."

North Carolina Enacts Map Favoring GOP
Democrats currently have a 7-6 advantage in the state’s Congressional delegation, but it is almost certain to be substantially reduced during the 2012 elections. The new map significantly endangers Democratic Reps. Mike McIntyre, Larry Kissell, Heath Shuler and Brad Miller.

Obama 'Unpresidential,' 'Petulant' 'Dividing Us': Langone

That is the end of America as we know it," he said. "The destruction he is inflicting by his behavior will carry on long after we settle the debt limit."

White House Prodding Rating Agencies to Endorse Reid Plan
“Sources close to the rating agencies are saying that the White House is trying to get the rating agencies to endorse a certain plan. The White House is trying to prod the agencies to accept the Reid plan, which gives them political cover. They’re trying to say Boehner’s plan creates political uncertainty in the market because it’s two increases.

Shock Battleground Polls: Obama 'Could Lose in a Landslide'
In every reputable battleground state poll conducted over the past month, Obama’s support is weak. In most of them, he trails Republican front-runner Mitt Romney. For all the talk of a closely fought 2012 election, if Obama can’t turn around his fortunes in states such as Michigan and New Hampshire, next year’s presidential election could end up being a GOP landslide.

Republicans have given him the increase in the debt limit he wanted; all we’re asking is that we put the country on a path towards a balanced budget — but he says that’s extreme,” the tea party favorite said. “It is almost impossible to deal with him — he just gives speeches, and we can’t vote on a speech.”

Soros Returns Capital, Avoids Dodd Frank
The reason? Under new requirements from the Dodd Frank act, hedge funds are required to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission by March 2012 if the fund continues to manage more than $150 million in assets for outside investors. The new requirements would call for funds to report information about the assets they manage, potential conflicts of interest, and information on investors and employees. The act allows an exemption for what the Commission considers "family office" advisers.

Rule by fear or rule by law?
What could the government be contemplating that leads it to make contingency plans to detain without recourse millions of its own citizens? The Constitution does not allow the executive to have unchecked power under any circumstances. The people must not allow the president to use the war on terrorism to rule by fear instead of by law.

Feds Silent on How Convicted Felons Bought Guns in 'Operation Fast and Furious'

State Senate Race Looks To "Stir Up" Northern Virginia Conservatives
Three years later, has the “Rule of Law” resolution worked in Prince William County? “There’s no question about it,” replied Stirrup, who won re-election in ’07 with 63% of the vote, “There’s been a 41% drop in our hit-and-run accidents and our crime rate countywide is at a 16-year low.” Crime began to go down even before the law was implemented, he added, “because news of its coming convinced many non-citizens “to ‘self-deport themselves.”

End of the Line - Why the EPA Train Wreck Must be Stopped
Behind the scenes, while Washington and the United States focus on the debt crisis, President Obama’s EPA has been quietly implementing one of the most radical and costly policies of his administration. Ever since the failure of cap-and-trade, the administration has turned to the EPA to carry out its radical environmental agenda. Immediately after the 2010 election Obama was quoted saying “Cap-and-trade was just one way of skinning the cat; it was not the only way.” The EPA is in the process of completing and finalizing 30 major regulations and 170 major policy rules that would impose hundreds of billions of dollars of compliance costs on the economy, killing jobs and threatening the economic recovery.

More travel extravagances by Nancy Pelosi?
"These trips, known as CODELs, have exploded in number and cost. Speaker Boehner needs to reform this abuse of our military's assets. For all the recent talk about corporate luxury jets here in Washington, the American people might be surprised to learn the Air Force has an entire wing of luxury jets (in addition to Obama's Air Force One planes) for the use of congressmen and top administration officials," he said.

Dark days for America
The political class is destroying the nation's wealth at an alarming rate. Nowhere in history, ancient or recent, has a nation been able to spend money beyond its means the way we are, without doing severe damage to the people. The irresponsible fiscal policies of Greece, Spain, Ireland, Portugal and Italy are there for all to see, and yet we are headed inexorably down the same road.

Talks resume - briefly - at W.H.

Breathless: FDA Bans Asthma Medication
So we have to kill off children with asthma in order to protect the environment.... Remember, these same people think human beings are the problem. Soon enough it will be children with disabilities in general, then adults who have lived "long enough", then people who have "too many"children.... When one person is denied his God-given right to life then we all lose our freedom. Free people do not stand by and let this happen. Are you free or not?

Dems changed their tune

Information is now seeping out about the political whiplash that secured a confirmation vote for Cole in exchange for the DOJ’s release of documents to Congress. Dem Poll: Weakened Obama would lose vote today
"There's a very good chance Barack Obama would lose if he had to stand for re-election today," said Dean Debnam, president of PPP. "This is his worst poll standing in a long time, and he really needs the economy to start turning around."

An executive order in the old Chicago tradition
Following a defeat in Citizens United, the Obama administration is making an unprecedented assault on free speech through a proposed executive order requiring federal bidders to disclose their political giving during the previous two years as a condition to being considered for a federal contract.

Speaker Boehner to Rush Limbaugh: There is NO deal
House Speaker John Boehner today on the Rush Limbaugh show adamantly insisted leaks of a backdoor budget deal are inaccurate. Boehner said he stands firmly by the plan the House passed Monday — “Cut, Cap and Balance” — and any discussions of backup plans have been just that … discussions of backup plans.

S&P warns on deal without meaningful deficit reduction
Standard and Poor’s warned that it won’t take just any kind of debt-ceiling deal to protect the credit rating of the US. A deal without “meaningful” deficit reduction will mean downgrading American credit within three months: In other words … the Gang of Six deal is pretty much a non-starter with S&P.

Gang of Six plan is more smoke and mirrors
The document purports to "slash our nation's deficits" by $3.7 trillion over 10 years, but to get there it raises taxes $2 trillion now in return for mostly undefined spending cuts to be enacted somewhere off in an ill-defined future. Does anybody seriously doubt that the professional politicians will waste no time in adopting the tax increases, then find a hundred excuses for delaying the spending cuts and deficit reductions until they are a dead letter?

New rule for WH press corps: stop asking questions when you see the President

McConnell, Boehner blast Obama over debt talks
"In my view the president has presented us with three choices," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., referring to efforts to raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling. "Smoke and mirrors, tax hikes, or default." "Republicans choose none of the above," McConnell said. "I had hoped to do good; but I refuse to do harm."

'Real solution' not possible as long as Obama is president...
Mr. McConnell said he concluded after the latest negotiations that the administration had "expressed a fundamental unwillingness" to agree to significant spending cuts. Obama's Tale About His Mother Being Denied Health Insurance Debunked
"Ann's compensation for her job in Jakarta had included health insurance, which covered most of the costs of her medical treatment," Scott writes. "Once she was back in Hawaii, the hospital billed her insurance company directly, leaving Ann to pay only the deductible and any uncovered expenses, which, she said, came to several hundred dollars a month." Scott writes that Dunham, who wanted to be compensated for those costs as well as for her living expenses, "filed a separate claim under her employer's disability insurance policy."

Rick Santelli Unleashes Another Tea Party Battle Cry!

Liberals to Justice Ginsburg: Hurry up and retire
...some on the left say that the focus on the personal is misplaced. Ginsburg needs to put self-interest aside and act for the good of the issues they believe in, Harvard law professor Randall Kennedy wrote recently. Kennedy said 72-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer should leave, too.

Angry Tea Party Stirring up GOP Revolt
Some analysts call such fiscal hawks "debt-ceiling absolutists." The absolutists say Uncle Sam must go cold turkey and swear off the spending binge that has saddled America with over $14.3 trillion in national debt. But labels aside, their influence within the GOP caucus is substantial.

Voters Don't Want Debt Ceiling Hike
Republican and independent voters are strongly opposed to any deal to increase the federal debt ceiling, and any GOP politician who dares to do so could be vulnerable to a primary challenge. But the real eye-opener in the poll is the stiff Republican and swing-voter opposition to a deal. Sixty-seven percent of GOP voters and 51 percent of independents think raising the debt ceiling is a bad idea.

Obama's trillion-dollar tax hike would hit low- and middle-income families...
Call it eliminating an unfair break, or removing an unjust loophole, or even "taking a balanced approach." Just don't call it raising taxes. Obama is insisting he won't agree to "slash" benefits -- a vague word the White House refuses to define, thus leaving room for benefits to be cut without ever saying it.

Three days after the U.S. Department of Labor reported that the national unemployment rate had ticked up from 9.1 percent in May to 9.2 percent in June, Obama said that the loss of jobs in the public sector is “evidence” that his $830-billion economic stimulus legislation worked.
Idiot!

Chicago Liberals Want Conservative Books Banned
The authors of the books we offered to ban were Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Andrew Breitbart, Ayn Rand, Michael Savage, Bill Clinton, Michael Moore, Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler and Barack Obama. While there were in fact less than two handfuls of individuals who did tell us they don't think any books should be banned, unfortunately there were a shocking amount of guests at this book fair who were quite open to the idea, and in fact lined up quite excited for the opportunity to voice their opinion.

The Food-Stamp Crime Wave
Millionaires are now legally entitled to collect food stamps as long as they have little or no monthly income. Thirty-five states have abolished asset tests for most food-stamp recipients. These and similar "paperwork reduction" reforms advocated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are turning the food-stamp program into a magnet for abuses and absurdities.

Gov. Brown’s Office to Conservative Californians: Leave the State!
Now, I don’t know about you, but saying that millions of residents should just leave the state if they don’t like California’s liberal laws, dysfunctional finances and horrendous business climate doesn’t really disprove the point that the Sacramento elite really and truly do not care about the Republican-leaning parts of the state or the people in them

It's not going to get easier, ti's going to get harder. So, wee might as well do it now. Pull off the band-aid. Eat our peas. Now is the time to do it. If not now, when?" President Obama said at his press conference today.

DeMint: Obama Intentionally Creating 'Panic' Over Debt Ceiling
I'm questioning what he's saying because we are not going to default. We've got enough tax revenue to pay our bills. It certainly will be disruptive if we continue on the track we're going right now. But we have enough assets and Social Security, Medicare trust fund to pay those benefits for several years if necessary. It's not ideal but we don't need to panic and rush into a deal. And the president is actually been burning the clock with these secret negotiations, pushing us up against a deadline so he can create this panic.

Obama’s oil company tax proposal would jeopardize thousands of jobs
Ironically enough, the proposal would also eventually decrease government revenues. While, in the first five years, a $5 billion tax increase would generate an additional $3 billion in revenue each year, by 2020, it would result in an estimated $6 billion less in revenue, and, by 2025, an estimated $10 billion less.

One organization involved in the suit, the Environmental Defense Fund, has a long history of taking the EPA to court. In fact, a cursory review finds almost half a dozen cases in the past 10 years. Illinois Redraws Electoral Map To Suit Democrats
The new map should help Democrats and hurt Republicans in Illinois in 2012, and boost the Democrats’ hopes for retaking control of the U.S. House. Militias and Mumbais
The United States is a living, breathing entity only because the Constitution and Original Intent are firm. If they were flexible, we never would have survived a generation. Here are a few key points of how the importance of the past is relevant now.

Tea party Democrats do exist
Is there such a thing as a tea party Democrat? The answer, it seems, is yes. Polls show the group exists, but determining its impact is difficult. What role the group could play in the 2012 elections is even murkier, except as a rallying cry for Republicans who say the movement is a bigger tent than it appears.

The Missing US Ambassador at the feast for Ronald Reagan

Discussing the expiration of the FUTA surtax, Camp stated, "The death of any tax on jobs, no matter how big or small, is a historic moment and one to be celebrated. Schumer says Dems are discussing whether WH can ignore the debt ceiling
Schumer (D-NY) acknowledged that President Obama may not need Congressional authorization to avoid a default on the national debt. ATF gunrunning weapons turning up in Phoenix crime investigations

The ABC affiliate in Phoenix uncovers evidence that weapons from Operation Fast and Furious have been found in crime scenes in the Valley of the Sun, a situation that one ATF agent says will continue "for years to come".

Obama opened up an air war - on Republicans
The jet tax provision is not a serious issue ($3 billion over ten years?), and Obama’s repeated mention of it demonstrates he is not serious about deficit reduction. It just adds icing to the cake that it exists in law today only because of his signature.

Is George Soros Forging a Closer Alliance With the Muslim Brotherhood?
Consistently referring to Israel as the "stumbling block' to peace in the Middle East, Soros makes no bones about his hopes for the Brotherhood. He even heartily encouraged giving the Muslim Brotherhood a place at Egypt‘s table when the country’s streets erupted into flames of dissent earlier this year.

Clinton Admits We Are Now Reaching Out to the Muslim Brotherhood
"We believe, given the changing political landscape in Egypt, that it is in the interests of the United States to engage with all parties that are peaceful, and committed to non-violence, that intend to compete for the parliament and the presidency," Clinton told reporters at a news conference.

U.S. Adds Israel to ‘Promoter, Producer, or Protector’ of Terrorists List
The ‘specially designated country’ list is used by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to screen detained foreigners with an extra step, called a "Third Agency Check." Overall, the countries on the list are unsurprising, with two exceptions this year. Israel was not on the list in 2008, but now in 2011, it has been added. North Korea, on the other hand, was dropped from the list this year but was on it in 2008.

House Dems Set to Demonize Gun Owners with Gunwalker Forum

Walter Russell Mead Takes On Al Gore, and Scores a Devastating Knockout!
Gore’s failures are not just about leadership. The strategic vision he crafted for the global green movement has comprehensively failed. That is no accident; the entire green policy vision was so poorly conceived, so carelessly constructed, so unbalanced and so rife with contradictions that it could only thrive among activists and enthusiasts

Union curbs rescue a Wisconsin school district
The Kaukauna School District, in the Fox River Valley of Wisconsin near Appleton, has about 4,200 students and about 400 employees. It has struggled in recent times and this year faced a deficit of $400,000. But after the law went into effect, at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, school officials put in place new policies they estimate will turn that $400,000 deficit into a $1.5 million surplus. And it's all because of the very provisions that union leaders predicted would be disastrous.
