Losing Our Republic
Having spoken to a number of GOP players on the Hill this last week, I can assure my readers of two things. One: Congressional Republicans, their staff, and their allies are focused and determined. They are fully aware of the dangers of ObamaCare and are working 24/7 to secure its defeat. And two: there just aren't enough of them. Our Republic is passing from history. It's now up to the Senate to preserve it -- or else administer the last rights.

Obama Adviser Dismisses Reports of Afghanistan Troop Decision
National Security Adviser James Jones, responding to reports by the Associated Press and CBS News. The AP reported Obama would add tens of thousands more forces, while CBS said he plans to send four combat brigades plus thousands more support troops. Reports that President Obama has made a decision about Afghanistan are absolutely false, Jones said in a e-mailed statement today. Any reports to the contrary are completely untrue and come from uninformed sources.

Chavez Says Venezuela to Prepare for War as Deterrent to U.S.

GE, Comcast agree on NBC Universal valuation
Exit provisions are critical in joint ventures because they deal with when and how a partner can get out. In the case of GE, many of its shareholders have urged the conglomerate to offload NBC Universal, whose broadcast and cable networks, movie studio and theme parks are considered misfits among GE's mostly industrial operations.

Conservative Candidate Drops Senate Bid Against Moderate Republican
"I don’t want to be responsible for handing this primary to Mark Kirk because my fellow conservatives and I split the vote in the Republican Party. Defeating Kirk has to take first priority because he is neither an economic nor social conservative," Wallace said.

Senate Leaders: Pelosicare Is "Dead On Arrival"
The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate.

A state worker is recovering after a bloody brawl at a union hall. He says members of the local SEIU 1000 beat him up and sent him to the hospital all because he wanted to expose alleged corruption within the union.

Napolitano's terrorist radar screen
What kind of behavior and characteristics trigger scrutiny from The Department of Homeland Security and its head, Janet Napolitano? It seems that Major Hasan's behavior raised no official eyebrows despite his outspoken views and possible links to radical extremism. In a world of political correctness and irrational fear of even the appearance of profiling, did concern for not offending Hasan's Muslim faith trump the numerous red flags that are littered in his deadly wake?

All the Warning Signs Were There
The warning signs were there. The warning signs are still there. Not just for Nidal Hassan, but for Islam itself. We have seen the bodies and we have buried some of them ourselves, family, friends and fellow countrymen. We have heard the screams. We know what has been. It does not take a prophet to know what is to come. All the warning signs are there. The question is what are we going to do about them?

Pelosi Bill's Radical Agenda Revealed
The healthcare reform plan being pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Barack Obama and passed by the House on Saturday illustrates the Democrats' radical agenda, says former New York Lt. House Passes HealthCare Bill
219 Dems 1 RINO

Joseph Cau (R-LA) was the lone Republican vote. Please, oh please, tell me how this person garnered the RNC nomination? Oh wait! The RNC stands for "RINO's 'n Collusion". This has got to stop! The infiltration of foreign born Socialist/Marxist into our political system must stop. It is time to expand the "Natural Born Citizenship" requirement to all our politicians. This is the United States of America, not little Vietnam, or Austria, or Kenya.

Obama turns health care vote into fundraising tool
Scarcely more than an hour after the House narrowly passed the Democrats' health care legislation Saturday night, President Obama sent out a fundraising email asking supporters for money to push a national health care bill through the Senate. "This is a night to celebrate -- but not to rest," Obama writes in a fundraising appeal sent by Organizing for America, the permanent version of his 2008 presidential campaign. "Can you donate $25 or whatever you can afford so we can finish this fight?"

A Michigan congressman has released a report from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation confirming that the House Democrats' health-care bill could impose penalties of up to $250,000 in fines and five years in jail for failing to buy the proper insurance coverage.

"This is the ultimate example of the Democrats' command-and-control style of governing - buy what we tell you or go to jail," said U.S. Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich. "It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately," he said today.
